I hope your scent is locked in there,
Bitter and familiar as the truth.
How dry and brittle your skin -
Keep still now, or you'll tear yourself to shreds!
Come spring, when your tongue thaws,
Let it steep and sing in my head,
My boiling brain will run over with You
And your potent brew.
Not now, but then I'll want to taste your thoughts, because
I should really know all my flaws.
Clever :)
